In this water workshop, we explore and study our first language—the language of movement and vibrations.
Gentle, spontaneous and free-form movement, especially in warm water, encourages us to restore the connection with our fluid nature, flow and authentic movement.
The embodied expression and experience of freedom, weightlessness and a sense of “being met and accepted as you are” inspires profound healing and relaxation, not only for our physical body – but also for the mind, heart and inner child within.
Through the practice of “Relating and Mirroring”, we reflect and witness our movement pattern as a doorway to understanding the deeper wisdom of our living body and subconscious mind. Being held in a safe and supportive environment, we (as an individual and a collective) can attune ourselves to the highest frequency of wholeness and harmony.
Our session ends in a floating meditation facilitated in a heated pool (35deg Celcius), and supported by pillows and props.
Our facilitators offer aquatic bodywork in the form of gentle stretch, massage, and passive joint movement. All facilitators are trained aquatic bodyworkers, sound healers, yoga teachers, and dance improv movers.
No swimming or dance experience is required – every-body is welcome.
Muara WaterSounds combines a heart-centered warm water, sound and movement journey with a transpersonal approach to connect you to your inner-self.
The brainchild of Anika Gunawan and Nathania Lubis; Muara is a meeting point for transition & transformation. It is the Indonesian word for estuary, a place where all rivers and the ocean converge— a transition zone between land and sea.
As facilitators, Anika and Nathania are passionate about curating safe, supportive, and heart-centered spaces through the living essence of water, movement and sound frequency.
Honouring their indigenous heritage, the approach of Muara WaterSounds is deeply rooted and inspired by the rhythms and flow of Indonesian land and sea-scapes.
With their diverse backgrounds, spanning both the East and West, Anika and Nathania’s experience living, studying and travelling in Indonesia and globally, enriches their perspective and ability to craft these unique, multi-dimensional journeys that create a space for you to be accepted as you are.
Both facilitators are trained in Healing Dance Aquatic Bodywork, Sound healing, Qi Gong and Transpersonal counseling. They are also furthering their studies in Heart-Self Intelligence Meditation and its applications in water-sound medicine, under the mentorship of Dr. Margret Rueffler.
